Introduction
The Medical Technology Standards eXchange is one of a series of seminars which updates industry on key developments in Standards that affect their business. This eXchange is organised by SPRING Singapore and the Medical Technology Standards Committee (MTSC).
The MTSC is one of the eight Standards Committees under the industry-led Standards Council, which advises SPRING Singapore, the national standards body, on the National Standardisation Programme. The MTSC develops national standards and monitors & participates in international standardisation activities to support the biomedical industry. It also facilitates adoption of relevant standards, such as the ISO 13485 on Quality Management Systems for Medical Devices.
This Standards eXchange will highlight developments in medical technology, including the applications of nanomaterials, ISO 13485 implementation, challenges in medical device design and manufacturing, internationalisation assistance for the MedTech industry and updates on regulatory controls for medical devices. The eXchange will also provide a platform for participants to network with industry players and organisations that are involved in the development of the MedTech industry.
